Redruth’s 2nd XV face a tough challenge this coming Saturday when they host table toppers Paignton. The 2nds have settled well in Counties 1 Tribute Western West after a difficult start and have won six of their last seven games.
Paignton have lost just one game this season, a 50-26 defeat at Barnstaple, and are currently five points clear of Pirate Amateurs, although the Penzance side have a game in hand. Paignton have proved to be prolific scorers racking up a total to date of 482 points. Their 11 try bonus points underline their attacking potential.
On the first day of the season the Reds lost 54-15 at the Devon club and the side will be looking to demonstrate their much improved performance since that day.
