Redruth 2nds announce a strong side to make the short hop to Blaythorne to take on Veor RFC on Saturday.
Veor are having a very good season and have won 12 of their 15 matches which puts them in 3rd place on 59 points level with 2nd place Saltash but some way off league leaders St.Ives who are on 74 points. Veor's only defeats this season have come against St.Ives, Saltash and St.Austell Sinners all of whom are in the top 4. They have a points difference of +199.
The match between the two clubs back in October saw a narrow 24-20 win for Veor.
The 2nds come into this match after a 19-17 home win over Newquay Hornets a match they dominated but could not put sufficient points on the board to be comfortable at any stage. Conceding two interception tries didn't help but the highlight of the day was prop forward Bailey Williams running 40 metres for a great individual try. This win leaves the Reds in 5th place on 35 points with 4 games in hand over Saturdays hosts.
Top try scorers for the 2nds are Bailey Williams and Jarad Williams both on 5. Dean Wills leads the points tally on 34.
