After a weekend off following the recent home defeat against Clifton, Redruth make the relatively short trip across the Tamar to face Devonport Services.

Our hosts have had something of a baptism of fire following their promotion into the National Leagues. They have certainly shown they can cross the line, they have amassed four try bonus points so far, but have lost all of their eight games. However, they will have taken heart from a strong performance away to Macclesfield two weeks ago when they scored 5 tries in their 47-35 defeat.

While this will be the first time we have played Devonport Services, our relationship actually goes back to 1888 when Redruth first hosted Keyham College. This would later become the current Royal Naval Engineering College, which for many years was the main service team in Plymouth and a forerunner of Devonport Services.
