Following last weeks hard-fought home win over Luctonians, the first defeat the Herefordshire side has suffered this season, Redruth make the trip to Gloucestershire to take on Cinderford.
This will be the first time the Reds have made the trip to to the Forest of Dean side since 2nd December 2017 when we lost 49-19 on a very wet day. Cinderford were on a roll that year and finished the season at the top of the table losing just one game, and securing promotion to National 1.
They remained there until last season when they finished at the bottom and, together with Taunton, were relegated down to National Two West. They are currently in 4th place in the table with four wins out of their six games played. They have lost to Old Redcliffians and Luctonians, had a home win over Devonport Services and won away at Hinckley, Clifton and Macclesfield.
Like Redruth, Cinderford, which was founded in 1886, is at the heart of its community in a town which has suffered the loss of mining and other industries that made it prosperous. It’s always a tough place to go but the boys will be in good heart after last weeks win.
